Construction Management

Deep Excavation
Shallow excavations are defined as being anything less than 1.5 metres deep, which really is not very deep at all; a relatively short person could comfortably see over the top. Deep excavations, on the other hand, are defined as being any excavation which is more than 4.5 metres in depth – a considerable height indeed.

Footings and Foundations
As the name suggests, footings are in contact with the ground, reinforcing support to individual columns. Foundations, on the other hand, can be thought of as the leg of a building, transferring the load between the footing and whatever structure sits above it.

Structural Framing and Roofing
Roof framing refers to the rafters or trusses designed to support roof decks and shingles. Rafters, or stick framing, are sloped wooden beams forming the anatomy of a roof frame. Trusses are the framework of sloped wooden beams and horizontal wooden beam pieces.

wall construction
Wall construction falls into two basic categories: framed walls or mass-walls. In framed walls the load is transferred to the foundation through posts, columns or studs.

Flooring and Floor Systems
FLOOR SYSTEMS ( Floor systems are the horizontal planes that must support both live loads-people, furnishings, and movable equipment and dead loads-the weight of the floor construction itself. Floor systems must transfer their loads horizontally across space to either beams and columns or to loadbearing walls.

Doors and Windows
A window is defined as an opening in a wall of a building to serve one or more of the functions like natural light, natural ventilation and vision. And The main function of a door in a building is to serve as a connecting link between the internal parts and to allow free movement to the outside of the building.
